Subject of the service

Marchio Green is a programme of voluntary environmental contributions linked to identified giant bamboo plantations. Participating companies are allocated Voluntary Environmental Units (VEU) and receive a digital statement of participation, with a record viewable on the Polygon blockchain.

VEUs are conventional units identifying the allocation of an environmental contribution associated with a documented quantity of CO₂e; in the programme, one VEU is conventionally associated with one tonne of CO₂e. VEUs are not certified carbon credits, ETS allowances or financial instruments.

How to participate

The service is intended exclusively for businesses and professionals (B2B). Participation takes place through a commercial contract, which sets out quantities, economic conditions and duration.

The statement is issued and associated with the customer’s record once participation is confirmed. For multi-year memberships, allocations for subsequent years take place only when the respective quantities are documented and available.

Environmental data and documentation

Allocated quantities are determined according to documented criteria, based on technical and scientific documentation on the plantations, which includes measurements and projections. Marchio Green keeps a register of available and allocated quantities to prevent multiple allocations of the same quantity.

The recorded allocation remains documentable over time, except for justified corrections, which are communicated to the customer.

Nature of the statement

The statement documents participation in the programme and the Voluntary Environmental Units allocated to the customer. It does not constitute independent environmental certification, certified emissions offsetting or a certificate of climate neutrality.

The blockchain record makes the allocation’s trail viewable, but does not by itself certify the scientific measurements or the actual environmental impact.

Use of the mark and customer communications

The customer is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Marchio Green mark, limited to communicating participation in the programme according to the authorised guidelines and materials, for the duration of the relationship.

The customer may not use the mark, the statement or the allocated quantities to claim that the company, its products or services have offset their emissions, are climate neutral or are environmentally certified. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of its own environmental communications.

In the event of non-compliant use, Vivi Bamboo Albania Sh.p.k. may revoke the licence to use the mark and the listing in the website showcase.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided with the utmost diligence. To the extent permitted by law, Vivi Bamboo Albania Sh.p.k. is not liable for temporary unavailability of the website, malfunctions of third-party blockchain networks or improper use of the statement or mark by the customer.

Intellectual property

The Marchio Green mark, the website content and graphics are the property of Vivi Bamboo Albania Sh.p.k. and may not be reproduced without authorisation, except as provided by the licence granted to customers.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Albanian law. The courts of Tirana have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless otherwise agreed in the commercial contract.

Changes

We reserve the right to update these terms; the current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update. In the event of conflict, the conditions of the commercial contract signed with the customer prevail.
